Do you need help planning meals for your family, or worry whether or not your children have eaten enough fruits and vegetables for the day? Maybe you're a whiz in the kitchen and have a month's worth of meals planned out. You may be a gourmet chef, but want to find ways to include your kids in the cooking process. Most likely, we can all use a little help in the kitchen. Pampered Chef consultant, Cindy Sparling will be joining us this month to share her knowledge of cooking with us. Pampered Chef was started in 1980 and is a company that offers a line of kitchen tools, food products, and cookbooks aimed for preparing food in the home. Ms. Sparling will share ideas with us on how to have fun cooking with our kids, how to cook nutritional meals that the whole family will eat, and how to get fast dinners on the table.

Learning to cook helps kids to learn about nutrition and healthy eating. They are growing up with fast food and junk food at their fingertips, which is part of the reason why child obesity is on the rise. Teaching kids to cook will help instill skills to last them a lifetime. Cooking together also creates family time and bonding. Taking time to cook with your kids will create memories that they, in turn, can pass on to their families. It may take a longer time to get the meal or snack done but the moments with your children will be priceless. Just remember to have patience. Don't worry about flour on the floor or spilled milk!
