The LHAECPTA meets the second Wednesday of the month during the school year from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at Highlands Christian Church at 9949 McCree Road. Our meetings begin with refreshments and time to mingle with other parents from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. We then have a short business meeting followed by a wonderful guest speaker. Our schedule of exciting programs for the 2010-2011 year is outlined below:

Sept 8 Kathleen Morris, MS, CCC-SLP, nationally recognized speech-language
pathologist; "Helping Infants & Preschoolers with Sensory Issues”.

Oct 13 Dr. Nell Bush, Ph.D., Child Development Specialist; “Parenting without
Power Struggles”.

Nov 10 Local Parents’ Day Out and Preschools; 6 area schools will speak about
their Programs.

Dec 8 LHAECPTA’s First Annual Swap Shop and Member Social

Jan 12 Meridan Zerner, nutritionist at the Cooper Clinic; “Nutrition for the
Young”.

Feb 9 Mary Flo Ridley; “Simple Truths” Covering the sensitive topic on the age
appropriate times to discuss the birds and the bees with your children

Mar 9 Special Guest from the Dallas Arboretum; “The new Rory Meyers
Children’s Adventure Garden”
