LHAECPTA is 50 years old and it is time to establish a formal tradition of recognizing outstanding members at the conclusion of each year.  The Hands Up Award recipients exhibit great contributions through out the year that benefits young children and families in our community.  The criteria are some of the following:

°         Current dues paying member

°         Documented volunteer hours

°         Above and beyond member contributions

 

The nomination request must include the following in an email to the LHAECPTA President:

°         Nominee’s name

°         Reason for nomination

°         Type of Hand Award the candidate should be considered for (Hands Up, Hands Down, Tired Hand etc)

 

The Hands-Up Finalists will receive a certificate and their name included in a permanent recognition tool (either LHAECPTA Directory and/or LHAECPTA website).  The coveted award recipients will be announced during our May General Meeting.

 

Award Descriptions

 

Hands Up Award:

The LHAECPTA Board recognizes this member as someone who went above and beyond the call of duty in their assigned positions. This member consistently demonstrated a willingness to help others, improve the organization, and contribute to the overall community and most importantly, as a role model to their family.  Nominated by any Board Member – approved by Executive Board.

 

Hands Down Award:

This LHAECPTA member has been nominated by the general membership as having been an asset to the organization by their willingness to volunteer, the friendship and support they’ve leant to other members, and by being an upstanding contributor to their community and most importantly, as a role model to their family.  Nominated by any Member – approved by Executive Board.

 

Right Hand Award:

This board member, as recognized by the President of the LHAECPTA, has been a critical part of the success of the past year’s administration. She/he has (insert some specifics here – ex. Kept you on track, helped get our books in shape, followed up relentlessly, volunteered for everything).  Nominated by the President. – approved by Executive Board. 

 

Tired Hand Award:

This member has been a dedicated contributor to the LHAECPTA throughout their membership. They have served on the board and in a variety of capacities throughout their tenure and will sorely be missed for their leadership, willingness to volunteer and general “greatness” they have contributed to the organizations. Thanks for your continued dedication and hard work. You will be missed!  Nominated by any Member – approved by Executive Board.

This member contributed the most to the LHAECPTA as documented by the number of volunteer hours they logged over the course of the past year. Thanks for all of the time and energy you’ve dedicated to our organization!  Nominated by Secretary – approved by Executive Board.
