LHAECPTA operates an on-site co-op nursery for all General Meetings. The nursery is staffed with professional sitters. The children are grouped by age (as of Sept 1st), and each room has age appropriate toys. All children– except infants–are provided with a snack. In addition, exciting nursery programs are provided for children ages 2 to 5.


How much does it cost?

Nursery charges for each meeting are $10 for the first child, $5 for the second child with a family cap at $15 (i.e. no charge for more than two children). This fee does not cover the entire cost of childcare. Our professional sitters are subsidized by the LHAECPTA and by The Paradise Slaughter Real Estate Group, led by LHAECPTA member Kerry Slaughter. Payment must be made with cash or check when you drop off your child.

How do I reserve a space for my child?
To reserve a space in the nursery, email nursery@lhaecpta.org no later than Friday prior to the meeting (deadline indicated above). In the email, indicate your child’s name and date of birth (not age), your name, and your phone number. To cancel your nursery reservation and avoid being charged, email by 7:00am the day of the meeting.

 

Nursery Liability Release

Each child must have an updated Nursery Liability Release form on file. Forms will also be available at the Kick-Off Party and in the September newsletter. If you have any questions or need further information, please contact Lisa.

 

Children are welcome in our meetings. After all, this is what PTA is ultimately for—our children. But we do want to respect the needs of our speakers and members to hear the program. We provide a comfortable area in the hallway where you may sit with a fussy child and still hear.
