New Recipes for LHAECPTA Cookbook
The LHAECPTA will be selling inserts for the “What’s For Dinner, Mommy?” cookbooks we sold last year. The inserts will include the Recipe of the Month winners for 2005 through 2007. Delivery will be at the May meeting and cost was not determined at press time (probably $5 or less). If you are interested in purchasing this set of new recipes, look for the sign up sheet at the April meeting or contact Carolyn Potter at 214.221.9758 or c_potter@swbell.net . Complete cookbooks are also available from Carolyn for $12.
Coloring Calendars
Are you searching for the perfect grandparent gift? Do you want to cherish your child's weekly events, but don't have time to scrapbook? Do you need something to keep track of your family's hectic schedule? Either way, the 2007 Coloring Calendar is the answer!
This hanging calendar includes a blank “picture page” at the top with a themed border for each month (like fireworks for July). Get out the markers, crayons, or paints and let your little artist go wild!!

Some ideas shared by PTA members:

Let your child hang one in her room. Write in an important future event and she can mark off each day in anticipation!
Have your kids pick out their 12 favorite family pictures, glue them in, and decorate away! (Grandparents love those scribble marks!)
Help your child learn the days of the week and more. Hang one in his room and write in or use stickers for scheduled events (school, dance, soccer, etc.) Talk about it as he gets dressed each day.
Write in important dates– birthdays, recitals, school programs, school holidays, etc. Send the calendar to the office with Mom or Dad so they don’t forget any of those special events!
